Why create this blog?

I've been in the IT industry for over 12 years and as such, I am well-versed in social media platforms. Yet this is my first attempt to eject my personal thoughts and feelings onto the internet in such a direct and pointed way - the subject matter means that much to me! I felt blogging to be the most appealing and effective way to do this without 200 people 'de-friending' me on Facebook in disgust and offense. After all, you can't just simply write on one's wall, "You support gay marriage? Well then you can't possibly be a true Christian!". Can you imagine the havoc one could wreak on aquaintances using that kind of language? Doing so may invoke nothing short of World War 3 right in front of one's eyes! So here goes with the blogging I hope you find thought-provoking and enlightening.
